Registration 2010/2011 School Year

Enrollment Forms
Upon acceptance into Laurelwood Preschool you will be required to download, complete, and mail-in all required preschool forms by May 19, 2010. This includes physical and immunization forms for your student and a negative TB test for all adults who will be working in the classroom on your assigned days.

Tuition for the 2010/2011 School Year

• Early Childhood Program: $120 per month
• Pre-Kindergarten Program: $150 per month
• Registration fee per student: $65

In order to keep our tuition affordable, we encourage each family to participate in our fundraisers and/or make a tax-deductible donation in the amount of one month's tuition to the preschool. Donations are accepted any time. 100% of the money collected is returned to the classrooms.

May & April 2011 tuition will be refunded ONLY if the registrar is notified BEFORE July 31, 2010 of your plans to withdrawal. No Exceptions.

If you would like your name placed on our waiting list, which is maintained and used to fill classes through January of 2010, please download this form and mail it with the $35.00 waitlist fee to:

If an opening becomes available for your child we will contact you using the phone number and/or email you submit. You will have 24 hours to notify the registrar that you are still interested in a position at Laurelwood Preschool before we move to the next family on the waiting list. At that time you must have your enrollment forms (available from this web site beginning March 2, 2009) completed and ready to submit with a new check to guarantee your spot. We suggest you prepare these forms now if you are serious about enrolling your child in Laurelwood Preschool. Please note that all children attending our preschool must be toilet trained.

Admission Information

Registration 2010/2011 School Year

Eligibility:
Age

• Verification of age by birth certificate will be required.
• Early Childhood (Tuesday/Thursday): Child must be three by December 2, 2010.
• Pre-Kindergarten (Monday/Wednesday/Friday): Child must be four by December 2, 2010.

Toilet Training

• All children must be toilet trained prior to entrance into the school.

To Register

• Complete the registration form (front and back)
• Write a check for your last month's tuition plus the $65 registration fee (payable to Laurelwood Preschool)

The tuition payment made at the time of registration is your May 2011 tuition and will be refunded only if the registrar is notified by July 31, 2010 of your plans to drop from the preschool.  There will be no exceptions

Registration Dates
Preregistration: Begins February 1, 2010

Priority Registration: Begins February 8, 2010 
(for children and siblings of alumni)
Open Registration: Begins February 11, 2010
(families new to the preschool)
Registration is by mail only.  Early postmarks (before your date) will be considered last.

Classroom Observations
Classroom observations start in January 2010 and will be available through the end of May. Prospective members are encouraged to observe the classrooms (without their children) during school hours by scheduling an appointment with the Membership Chairperson, Maneesha Ranabhor. Please e-mail shoukim@gmail.com to schedule a time. This contact is only for making observation appointments.

Placement
Children are placed in classes by lottery based on the postmark date. Laurelwood Preschool attempts to place children in the class time with the teacher of their first choice. However, when the demand does not allow this, the school reserves the right to place a child in any class with openings. This applies to both pre-registration and open registration.

1. All children must be toilet trained prior to entrance into the school and verification of age by birth certificate will be required.
2. In March you will be notified of either your acceptance into Laurelwood Preschool or a regret letter that all slots are filled.  If a regret letter is sent we will place you on admitting list that is used to fill classes through January 2010.
3.
