Registration Information for the 2009/2010 School Year

1. To be eligible for the Early Childhood (Tuesday/Thursday) program, a child must be three by December 2, 2009. In order to enroll in the Pre-Kindergarten (Monday/Wednesday/Friday) program, a child must be four by December 2, 2009.
2. Registration begins approximately 6-8 months prior to the beginning of the school year. Families who are currently enrolled in the preschool are given priority for classes by being allowed to pre-register before open registration.
3. An Information Night is held on January 22, 2009 prior to open registration to afford new families the opportunity to observe the classrooms and have questions answered by teachers and board members.
   Classroom Observations: Prospective members are encouraged to observe the classrooms (without their children) while they are in session. To schedule an appointment, contact the Membership Chairperson, Kelly Barirani, at 871-6958 starting December 1, 2008. Classroom observations will begin on January 7, 2009 and will be available through the end of May.
4. Registration forms are available in the preschool classrooms as well as in the Laurelwood Elementary School office. Information about registration can be obtained by contacting the Registrar at the Laurelwood Preschool number, 241-8626. Please do not call the Laurelwood Elementary School office.
5. Registration is by mail only and begins on February 9, 2009. Early postmarks (before Feb. 9) will be considered last.
6. The procedure for registration includes completing a registration form and writing a check payable to Laurelwood Preschool in the amount of one month's tuition plus a $60 registration fee per student. The $60 registration fee is non-refundable. The tuition payment made at the time of registration is applied toward the September tuition and will be refunded only if the registrar is notified before August 1, 2009. There will be no exceptions.
7. Children are placed in a class on a first postmarked/first-processed basis. Laurelwood Preschool attempts to place children in the class of their first choice. However, when the demand does not allow this, the school reserves the right to place a child in a class that has available openings. This applies to pre-registration as well as open registration.
8. All children must be toilet trained prior to entrance into the school and verification of age by birth certificate will be required.

Tuition for the 2009/2010 School Year

Early Childhood Program: $100 per month
Pre-Kindergarten Program: $130 per month
Registration fee per student: $60
Cleaning Deposit: $30 (collected Sept. 1st and refunded after Cleaning Day participation in May/June)

In order to keep our tuition affordable, we encourage each family to participate in our fundraisers and/or make a tax-deductible donation in the amount of one month's tuition to the preschool. Donations are accepted any time. 100% of the money collected is returned to the classrooms. We thank you for your support.
